Suspension violation
WILLIAMSPORT - A Mount Carmel woman will be sent a summons to answer charges she was driving while her license was suspended and she left the scene of an accident in Williamsport.
Charges city police filed Thursday against Melissa Elizabeth Wolfgang, 30, allege she struck the rear of another vehicle in the drive-thru at the Burger King on Maynard Street March 30.
The arrest affidavit states Wolfgang gave her registration card to the other driver and asked that the police not get involved. Wolfgang drove off when the other driver began calling police, the affidavit states.
Officers traced the registration information to Wolfgang's aunt who identified the driver, the charges state. Records showed Wolfgang's license was suspended due to a drunken driving charge, police said.
