Corruption of minors
SHAMOKIN - Joseph Miscavage, 20, of 128 Tharp St., Coal Township, was charged with corruption of minors and conspiracy to commit theft April 25.
Shamokin City Police Patrolman Raymond Siko II said a juvenile told the officer Miscavage and another juvenile encouraged and threatened to harm him if he didn't try to steal tip jars from several businesses in the city.
The charges were filed with Magisterial District Judge John Gembic III, of Shamokin.
Retail theft
COAL TOWNSHIP - Patrolman Matthew Hashuga has charged Carrie E. Feudale, 23, of 1133 W. Wood St., Coal Township, with retail theft.
Police reported Feudale allegedly stole a home theater system valued at $208 from Walmart Supercenter on Route 61 March 2.
Drug charges
SHAMOKIN - Patrolman Scott Weaver charged Taralese R. Mallory, 23, of 401 N. Shamokin St., Shamokin, with possession of Ecstasy, possession with intent to deliver Ecstasy, disorderly conduct and public drunkenness relating to a March 16 disturbance in the first block of South Market Street.
Furnishes alcohol
SHAMOKIN - Kevin A. Clark, 22, of 626 W. Pine St., Shamokin, was charged by Patrolman Raymond Siko II with two counts of selling or furnishing alcohol to minors, a lighting violation and restriction on alcoholic beverages.
Police reported Clark possessed an open alcoholic beverage in his vehicle and allowed James R. Snyder Jr., 18, of 8 W. Sunbury St., Shamokin and a 15-year-old Coal Township female to consume alcohol while he was driving a vehicle at 1:30 a.m. Saturday on Second Street near Turkey Hill Minit Market.
Snyder and the female were both cited for underage drinking by Siko.
Simple assault
SHAMOKIN - Two men were charged with misdemeanor offenses following a fight at 3:30 p.m. April 21 in the 300 block of South Rock Street.
Shamokin Police Patrolman Raymond Siko II reported in court documents that Nathan Becker, 25, and Harry Baughman, 54, both of 331 S. Rock St., Shamokin, were involved in a physical altercation. Police said Becker was bleeding from the hand and Baughman was bleeding from the head and experienced swelling of the jaw and redness and abrasions on his abdomen. Each man told police the other attacked first. Police said Baughman kept screaming profanities at Becker while in the presence of police and continued to curse while being treated in the emergency room.
Police charged Becker with misdemeanor counts of simple assault and disorderly conduct and a summary offense of harassment. Baughman was charged with a misdemeanor count of disorderly conduct and summary offenses of disorderly conduct, harassment and public drunkenness.
The charges were filed with Magisterial District Judge John Gembic III, of Shamokin.
DUI
SHAMOKIN - Matthew B. Raynor, 27, of 101 S. Franklin St., Shamokin, was charged with two counts of driving under the influence, careless driving and driving without a license following a traffic stop after Raynor almost hit a Coal Township Police vehicle at Race and Pearl streets.
Chemical testing of Raynor's blood showed a blood alcohol level was over the legal limit. The charges were filed with Magisterial District Judge John Gembic III, of Shamokin.
Public nuisance
SHAMOKIN - Katy Ann Dunaway, 31, of 1688 Fairview Road, McClure, was charged with a public nuisance violation by Shamokin City Police Cpl. Bryan Primerano for failing to take care and repair a property she owns at 102 S. Pearl St.
Police reported in court documents that Dunaway failed to respond to five summary citations filed against her.
The charge was filed with Magisterial District Judge John Gembic III, of Shamokin.
Garbage violation
SHAMOKIN - Samantha Bell, 25, of 417 S. Coal St., Shamokin, was cited by Cpl. Bryan Primerano for allowing garbage to be piled up in her front and back yards at 5 p.m. Tuesday.
