Driver not hurt
JACKSON TOWNSHIP - Roger J. Hughes, 49, of Herndon, escaped injury Friday morning when the 1998 Chevrolet S-10 pickup truck he was driving drifted off Herndon Bypass Road near Stomp Lane and struck a drainage ditch after the driver fell asleep.
State police at Stonington said Hughes was traveling west at 1:16 a.m. when the accident occurred.
Hughes, who was wearing a seat belt, was cited for failure to drive in a single lane.
Trevorton Ambulance personnel assisted at the scene.
DUI
SUNBURY - Michael Joseph Runko, 27, of 6 King Ave., Sunbury, will be charged by state police at Stonington with driving under the influence of a controlled substance and related offenses in connection with a traffic stop shortly after 2 a.m. Saturday on Packer Street near Sixth Street.
During the traffic stop, police found Runko to be in possession of a small amount of marijuana.
Runko was placed under arrest and transported to Sunbury Community Hospital for blood testing.
Harassment
MANDATA - State police at Stonington have cited a 15-year-old female student at Line Mountain High School for punching two other 15-year-old girls and pulling their hair at 10 a.m. Friday at the high school.
The teen was cited for two counts of harassment.
Route 15 accident
MONROE TOWNSHIP - Patricia L. Robinson, 58, and her passenger, Sharee T. Franklin, 38, both of Harrisburg, suffered minor injuries in a one-vehicle accident Saturday morning along Routes 11-15 near North Susquehanna Trail.
State police at Selinsgrove reported Robinson was driving a 1999 Toyota Rav4 north at 8:29 a.m. onto the off ramp of Routes 11-15 to Susquehanna Trail, but failed to negotiate a left curve, causing her vehicle to exit the road and strike a tree before rolling over.
Robinson and Franklin were transported by ambulance to Geisinger Medical Center in Danville.
Robinson was cited by Trooper Matthew Brown for failure to drive in a single lane.
