Cited again

COAL TOWNSHIP - Thomas E. Broscius, of 1516 Pulaski Ave., Coal Township, was cited again Friday by Code Enforcement Officer Chris Petrovich for having faulty weather protection at his home, which has several holes in its roof and rotted roof covering, which allows water to enter the building.

Broscius has been cited numerous times for the same ordinance violation.

Retail theft

SHAMOKIN - Kenneth K. Lamar, 36, of 115 W. Montgomery St., Shamokin, was charged by Patrolman William Miner with retail theft and receiving stolen property involving a Dec. 31 incident at CVS Pharmacy on West Independence Street.

Police reported Lamar is accused of stealing two T-mobile phones valued at $179.98.

Phone scam

SHAMOKIN - Police Chief Edward Griffiths warns area residents of a telephone scam in which funds are being solicited for Geisinger Health System. The chief said there is no such fundraiser.
