Money stolen

MONROE TOWNSHIP - State police at Selinsgrove are investigating the theft of $500 taken from Walmart along Routes 11-15 between 11:30 a.m. and 12:15 p.m. Monday.

Charity Miller, 25, of Northumberland, told police she left her wallet on a coin-operated ride in the play area of the store. Police said the wallet was later found on the ride, but $500 was missing.

Anyone with information about the theft is urged to contact state police at 570-374-8145.

Teacher punched

SELINSGROVE - A 13-year-old male student at New Story School along Route 204 allegedly punched teacher Todd Nagy, 40, in the face and threatened him at the school between 1:50 and 3 p.m. Feb. 11.

The juvenile also is accused of damaging a computer.

The teen was charged with aggravated assault, simple assault, terroristic threats and criminal mischief.

Cash, jewelry stolen

SELINSGROVE - State police at Selinsgrove reported Erin Shetter, 25, of Selinsgrove, will be charged with theft-related offenses for allegedly stealing cash, jewelry, clothing and a purse from Sears at the Susquehanna Valley Mall between Jan. 20 and Saturday while she was employed at the store.
