Condition update
DANVILLE - Allison Haskell, 5, of Berwick, who was seriously injured in a two-vehicle crash Friday morning on Route 487 in Fishing Creek Township that claimed the lives of her two sisters, has been discharged from Geisinger Medical Center, a spokesman said Wednesday.
Haskell's mother, Amanda Haskell, 28, of Berwick, also suffered injuries and was originally listed in fair condition. She has since been discharged.
Amanda Haskell's two other daughters, Charlotte, 3, and Abigail, 8, were killed in the 9 a.m. accident.
Fender-bender
COAL TOWNSHIP - One vehicle sustained minor damage in a fender-bender Wednesday morning in the 1200 block of West Arch Street.
According to police, John Yost, 61, of 1252 W. Arch St., backed his 1998 Jeep Cherokee into a 2004 Pontiac Grand Prix driven by Gwynne Turner, 28, of 1249 W. Arch St., while they were attempting to park their vehicles shortly after 8:30 a.m.
The Grand Prix sustained a broken driver-side turn signal, police said, while Yost's vehicle was not damaged.
