Hit and run
COAL TOWNSHIP - Michael Tetkoskie, of 1238 W. Montgomery St., Coal Township, reported the passenger side quarter panel and bumper area of his 2000 Mercury were damaged in a hit-and-run accident between 10:30 and 11 a.m. Saturday in the parking lot at the Anthra Plaza.

Route 61 crash
COAL TOWNSHIP - John Hovenstine, 42, of Coal Township, suffered minor injuries in a two-car accident Friday night on Route 61 near Pizza Hut.
Coal Township Patrolman Terry Ketchem said Hovenstine was driving a Volkswagen Jetta north at 7:27 p.m. at the intersection with Pizza Hut when his car was struck from behind by a Pontiac Sunfire operated by Brendin Pancher, 16, of Kulpmont, who escaped injury.
Both cars were driven from the scene.
Assisting police were Coal Township firefighters and AREA Services Ambulance personnel.
Vehicles ransacked
COAL TOWNSHIP - Brenda Walburn, 54, of 1300 Pulaski Ave., Coal Township, told police someone ransacked her 2005 Subaru Impreza and 1994 Dodge Dakota truck parked along side her residence between Saturday night and Sunday morning.
Police said nothing was taken from the unlocked vehicles.
Theft from car
COAL TOWNSHIP - Police are investigating the theft of various papers from the glove compartment of a 1995 Honda Civic owned by Jennifer Diaz, of 1723 E. Webster St., Coal Township, between 6:30 p.m. Saturday and 3 a.m. Sunday, when it was parked near her home.
Theft from car II
COAL TOWNSHIP - Elizabeth Chapman, 61, of West Nelson Street, Coal Township, told police someone stole cigarettes, money and soda from her vehicle between Sunday night and Monday morning. Chapman also reported a plastic container with a blue lid and a black and white notebook were removed from a Dodge Dakota truck owned by her husband, Michael Chapman, 61, while it was parked in the 1500 block of West Nelson Street. Chapman said papers and documents for the "Over 40" Shamokin Pool League were in the notebook and container.
