Theft
COAL TOWNSHIP - Jeffrey Madden, of 414 Main St., Coal Township, reported to police that an unknown person removed a DVD player and a cell phone charger valued at $149 from his 2007 Jeep Compass while it was parked near his home between 5:45 p.m. July 24 and 5:30 p.m. July 26, according to Coal Township Police Department.
DUI
KULPMONT - Andrew H. Reich Jr., 42, of 348 Main St., Ranshaw, is facing two charges of DUI related to an incident at 918 Scott St. at 9:30 p.m. Jan. 29, according to Kulpmont Police Department.
Patrolman Joshua Pastucka reported that Reich was operating a 1995 Saturn Sedan with a blood-alcohol level of .132 percent.
A preliminary hearing will be held on Aug. 29 in the office of District Judge Hugh A. Jones, Mount Carmel.
DUI
MOUNT CARMEL - Brian M. Moleski, 25, of 228 S. Chestnut St., PO Box 106, Mount Carmel, is facing charges of DUI and related charges in connection to a hit and run in the 00 block of North Chestnut Street at 2:30 a.m. June 2, according to Mount Carmel Police Department.
Patrolman Matthew Dillman reported that Moleski had a blood-alcohol level of .0295 percent, and is charged with two counts of DUI, one count of careless driving and one count of accidents involving damage to unattended vehicles.
A preliminary hearing will be held Aug. 29 in the office of District Judge Hugh A. Jones, Mount Carmel.
DUI
BEAR GAP - Stephanie L. Huber, 37, of 16 E. Avenue, Mount Carmel, is facing charges of driving under the influence of a drug and related charges in connection to an incident on Route 54 at 11:30 p.m. June 4, according to Mount Carmel Police Department.
Patrolman Matthew Filarski reported that Huber tested positive for caffeine, cotinine, nicotine, Zolpidem and Mirtazepine in her system.
She was charged with DUI, reckless driving, careless driving and driving on roads laned for traffic, police said.

DUI
MOUNT CARMEL - Barry A. Strike, 61, of 517 E. Fourth St., Mount Carmel, is facing one charge of DUI relating to an incident at 8:02 p.m. July 2 in the parking lot of the Turkey Hill on Fifth Street, according to Mount Carmel Borough Police.
Patrolman William Adamski said Strike had a blood-alcohol level of .22 percent.
A preliminary hearing will be held Aug. 29 in the office of District Judge Hugh A. Jones, Mount Carmel.
DUI
MOUNT CARMEL - Timothy M. Leso, 37, of 136 S. Walnut St., Mount Carmel is facing charges of DUI relating to an incident at 12:39 a.m. July 20 in the area of Third and Market streets, according to Mount Carmel Borough Police.
Patrolman Matthew Dillman reported that Leso is also facing charges of operating a vehicle without proper lighting.
A preliminary hearing will be held Aug. 29 in the office of District Judge Hugh A. Jones, Mount Carmel.
Drug charges
NATALIE - Amber Kay Brightbill, 25, of 355 Snow Drive, Apartment 2, Lebanon, is facing charges of drug possession and other related charges in connection to an incident on Route 54 at 8:29 a.m. June 16, according to Mount Carmel Township Police Department.
Patrolman Kelly Campbell reported that Brightbill was originally pulled over for speeding, but Campbell detected the odor of marijuana and searched her vehicle and found marijuana and paraphernalia.
She was also charged with possession with intent to use drug paraphernalia and speeding, police said.

DUI
KULPMONT - Ryan Thomas Zamboni, 35, of 20 W. Spring Ave., Ardmore, is facing charges of DUI and turning without signaling in relation to an incident at 2:14 a.m. April 23, according to Kulpmont Patrolman Cade Holden.
A preliminary hearing will be held Aug. 29 in the office of District Judge Hugh A. Jones, Mount Carmel.
Bad checks
ELYSBURG - John Anthony Gallagher, 40, of 117 S. Seventh St., Shamokin, is facing charges of writing bad checks relating to payment made to Bebenek Lumber Company, 377 W. Valley Ave., on June 7, according to Ralpho Township Police Department.
Patrolman Bryon Chowka reported that Gallagher wrote a check to the business in the amount of $413.47, but it was returned and stamped with "not sufficient funds."
A preliminary hearing will be held Aug. 29 in the office of District Judge Hugh A. Jones, Mount Carmel.
Simple assault
MOUNT CARMEL - Curtis Eugene Setcavage, 48, of 202 W. Spruce St., Mahanoy City, is facing charges of simple assault and harrassment relating to an incident at 1:57 a.m. July 13, according to Mount Carmel Borough Police.
Patrolman David Donkochik reported that Setcavage allegedly threw his girlfriend, Regina Merritt, down a flight of steps at 206 S. Beech St., Mount Carmel, and pinched her in the face several times.
A preliminary hearing will be held Aug. 29 in the office of District Judge Hugh A. Jones, Mount Carmel.
Drug charges
MOUNT CARMEL - Robert Jude Kaminski, 20, of 349 W. Second St., Mount Carmel, is facing charges of drug possession and other related charges in connection with an incident on July 13 in the 1300 block of Wood Street, according to Mount Carmel Township Police.
Patrolman Keith Tamborelli reported that Kaminski ran from police and had a hypodermic needle in his pants pocket when he was apprehended.
Kaminiski is also facing charges of possession with intent to use and underage drinking.
