Hit and run

COAL TOWNSHIP - Ken Feese, 66, of Coal Township, reported a pickup truck drove into his parked vehicle in the 1200 block of West Independence Street on Tuesday.

Coal Township Police say the truck was described as white or silver with possibly a ladder rack and metal tool box in the truck bed.

Anyone with information is asked to call police at 570-644-0333.

Window broken

COAL TOWNSHIP - Jim Williams, of 1020 W. Pine St., told township police someone broke a window on his garage on Holly Street sometime between 3:30 p.m. Monday and 6:55 a.m. Tuesday.

Mischief at AOAA

COAL TOWNSHIP - Township police said 10 yellow fiberglass trail marker signs were stolen and burned on the AOAA property, located on Burnside Mountain, over the weekend. The markers were positioned on several paths on the ATV park and are valued at $20 each.

Fugitive caught

NORTHUMBERLAND - State police at Milton said Andrew Balonis, 24, of Northumberland, was taken into custody at 8:45 a.m. Wednesday for a warrant from Syracuse City Police Department for possessing obscene material involving children.

He was arraigned and released on $50,000 unsecured bail.
