Theft from vehicle
COAL TOWNSHIP - Ashley Stankiewicz, of 1128 W. Walnut St., reported to Coal Township police someone entered her 2004 Chevrolet Avalon and stole $67 in cash sometime between 10 p.m. Sunday and 6:50 a.m. Monday.
Anyone with information regarding the theft is asked to contact police at 644-0333.
Public drunkenness
SHAMOKIN - Julie A. Bielski, 50, of 124 W. Mulberry St., was cited by Shamokin City Police Patrolman First Class Scott Weaver for public drunkenness after being found passed out and intoxicated in the 100 block of West Mulberry Street at 9:25 p.m. Saturday.
Retail theft charges
COAL TOWNSHIP - Police have charged three individuals with retail theft following incidents at the Coal Township Walmart SuperCenter.
Sarah Karpinski, 24, of Shamokin, was charged with retail theft after allegedly removing $151.34 worth of items from the store Aug. 14.
Elizabeth Farbiarz, 26, of Shamokin, was charged after allegedly attempting to remove $113.57 worth of merchandise from the store without paying for the items at 11:50 p.m. Aug. 14.
Jenna (Wehr) Ocacio-Rodriguez, 28, of Hazleton, and formerly of Shamokin, was charged after she allegedly removed an Apple iPad valued at $549 from the store without paying for it at approximately 5 p.m. Sept. 10.
Change stolen
COAL TOWNSHIP - Lisa Krieger, 47, of 1220 Hemlock St., reported someone entered her Chevy Cobalt parked near residence and removed a small amount of change between 8 p.m. Sunday and 7:45 a.m. Monday.
Krieger also told Coal Township police the same thief entered her 2002 Jaguar, but did not steal anything.
