COAL TOWNSHIP - A Free Spirit mountain bike and a Holister hoodie were found in Tharptown near 11th and Center streets. Contact the Coal Township Police Department at 644-0333 to identify.

Criminal mischief

COAL TOWNSHIP - Ronda Pollock, 47, of 140 S. First St., Coal Township, reported to Coal Township Police Department that someone cut a phone line to her residence between 5 and 5:30 p.m. Aug. 21. The damage estimate is not known.

Scattering rubbish

COAL TOWNSHIP - Jeremy Abdill, 22, of Mount Carmel, has been charged with scattering rubbish after several items with his name were discovered in the Third Patch area of Bear Valley Road on Aug. 29.

Abdill later admitted to dumping the household waste in the area and the citation was filed through the office of District Judge John Gembic, Shamokin, police said.

Disorderly conduct

COAL TOWNSHIP - Jaime Shaffer, 18, of Trevorton, and Kaitlyn Johson, 18, of Kulpmont, were both charged with disorderly conduct stemming from an incident at Walmart in Coal Township at Aug. 22.

Township Patrolman Chad Yoder said the two individuals allegedly engaged in a fight and continued to shout at each other both inside and outside the store.

Reckless endangerment

HALIFAX TOWNSHIP - A Dauphin County man was involved in a stand off with police and fired his firearm during the incident at 1:30 p.m. Aug. 2, according to state police at Lykens.

Police said they were called to 140 Parmer Road for a domestic incident and were unable to negotiate with the resident, Larry Nevin Lohr, 48.

The man allegedly came out of the home with a gun and the state troopers took defensive positions around the home.

Lohr reportedly fired a round from a .357 magnum handgun in an unknown direction and went back inside the house.

He eventually surrendered, was taken into custody and transported to Harrisburg Hospital, police said.

Lohr will be charged with reckless endangerment.
