Motorcycle crash
EAST CAMERON TOWNSHIP - Jacob J. Lesniak, 22, of Germantown, was hospitalized Wednesday afternoon after suffering minor injuries in a motorcycle accident on Route 125.
State police at Stonington reported Lesniak was driving a 2011 Harley-Davidson Night Rod Special north at 1:19 p.m. when he lost control while attempting to negotiate a sharp right curve. The motorcycle then fell onto its left side and slid for approximately 20 feet before stopping.
Lesniak, who was wearing a helmet, was initially transported by AREA Services Ambulance to Geisinger-Shamokin Area Community Hospital before being transferred to Geisinger Medical Center in Danville.
East Cameron Township firefighters assisted at the scene.
Theft of leased property
COAL TOWNSHIP - Shane J. Reichenbach, 36, of 1207 Chemung St., Coal Township, was charged by Patrolman Terry Ketchem with theft of leased property.
According to a criminal complaint filed at the office of Magisterial District Judge John Gembic III, Reichenbach is accused of failing to return or make payments on a Zella sectional couch valued at $886.08 and a Sony PlayStation 3 valued at $552.18 that he leased from Lightning Rent to Own in the Anthra Plaza on Dec. 13 and Dec. 19, respectively.
