Items stolen

COAL TOWNSHIP - Crystal Hogan, 22, of 1526 Pulaski Ave., told Coal Township Police someone removed an orange and black cigarette machine, valued at $60; a basket; a bag of Raze tobacco, valued at $40, and $20 in cash from the rear porch of her residence sometime between 10:30 p.m. Sunday and 8:30 a.m. Monday.

Hit and run

COAL TOWNSHIP - Peggy Pahutka, 63, of 1780 W. Wood St., reported to police a hit-and-run crash involving her 2010 Ford Escape. Pahutka told police the accident occurred in either Ranshaw, Masser's or Weis Markets May 17. The driver's side front and rear doors were damaged.

Lost or stolen phone

COAL TOWNSHIP - Kirk Weaver, of 1019 W. Willow St., told township police his son's brown LG Octaine phone was either lost or stolen from the Shamokin Area Middle/High School while he was at basketball practice between 5 and 7 p.m. May 14.

Found phone

COAL TOWNSHIP - A black cell phone was turned into Coal Township Police. Anyone wishing to claim the phone can provide a description to the police.

Waives charges

MOUNT CARMEL - Joseph R. McClain-Broden, 23, of 134 S. Oak St., Apt. B, second floor, Mount Carmel, waived to court Wednesday two counts of simple assault and one count of harassment involving a disturbance at his apartment in early April.

McClain-Broden was charged by Mount Carmel Patrolman Jason Drumheller with assaulting his roommate, Mark Lender.

McClain-Broden was ordered by Magisterial District Judge Hugh Jones to appear for plea court June 24 at Northumberland County Courthouse in Sunbury, where he can plead guilty or no contest, or seek a trial by pleading not guilty.
