Driver unhurt
LOWER MAHANOY TOWNSHIP - James A. Hartman, 58, of Dornsife, escaped injury Saturday afternoon when his 1991 Ford Ranger truck lost traction on a slick section of Route 147, struck a steep embankment and flipped onto its driver's side.
Police said Hartman, who was wearing a seat belt, was traveling south when the 1:15 p.m. accident occurred.
Car hits tree
JACKSON TOWNSHIP - James C. Kahler, 33, of Trevorton, was cited by state police at Selinsgrove for driving too fast for road conditions after his 1992 Dodge Spirit crashed into a tree off New Berlin Highway on Saturday afternoon in this Snyder County township.
Police said Kahler was traveling north at 1 p.m. when he lost control of his car while negotiating a left curve. The auto then traveled into the oncoming lane, exited the road and struck a tree.
Kahler escaped injury.
Public drunkenness
SHAMOKIN - Sharon Ann Weikel, 47, of 709 W. Chestnut St., Apt. 1, was cited for public drunkenness by city police Patrolman Mark Costa after she was found lying on the ground in the area of Eighth and Water streets at 4:15 p.m. Saturday.
