Driver suffers moderate injuries
LITTLE MAHANOY TOWNSHIP - A 17-year-old Sunbury driver experienced moderate injuries in a one-vehicle accident Saturday night at the intersection of Route 225 and State Road, according to state police at Stonington.
Trooper David Myers reported that the teen was driving in a 1999 Mazda B2500 at 11:07 p.m. Saturday south on Route 225 when he lost control of the vehicle.
The vehicle traveled off the roadway into a ditch, where it came to a final rest, and sustained disabling damage to the front driver side that it had to be towed by Troy's Towing, police said.
The teen was wearing his seatbelt, but was transported by Trevorton Ambulance to Evangelical Community Hospital, Lewisburg, police said.
The driver was cited for a traffic violation, police said.
In addition to state police and ambulances, the responding units included Trevorton Fire Department and Herndon Community Fire Company.
Shamokin driver escapes injuries
SHAMOKIN TOWNSHIP - A Shamokin driver escaped injuries Saturday afternoon in a one-vehicle accident on Route 61, 295 feet north of Irish Valley Road, according to state police at Stonington.
Trooper David Myers reported that Micheline A. Santor, 51, was traveling south on Route 61 in a 2011 Jeep Compass at 2:42 p.m. Saturday when she veered off the roadway and struck a guardrail.
The Jeep sustained disabling damage to the front passenger side and was towed by Zlocki's Body Works, Marion Heights, police said.
Santor was wearing her seatbelt, and she was cited with a traffic violation, police said.
No injuries in one-vehicle crash
EAST CAMERON TOWNSHIP - A Mount Carmel driver escaped injuries Friday night in a one-vehicle accident on Route 2044, according to state police at Stonington.
Trooper David Townsend reported that Maria C. Bressi, 27, was traveling west on Upper Road in a 2011 Toyota Prius when she lost control and struck a stone wall and a snow bank.
The car came to final rest on the right berm, facing south, against a stone wall, police said.
Bressi was wearing a seatbelt, and she was cited with a traffic violation, police said.
