Vehicles egged
TREVORTON - George "Butch" Stiely Jr., 57, of Route 225, reported to Zerbe Township Police that between 7 p.m. Saturday and Monday morning, someone threw several eggs at vehicles for sale on his car lot.

Woman sought
ASHLAND - State troopers are seeking a 24-year-old borough woman who failed to return Monday to a halfway house where she was residing.
Heather Ann Pickering was transported to Corsicana Bedding at 6:30 a.m. for work but failed to return to Gaudenzia New Destiny halfway house in Butler Township.
She is 5 feet, 3 inches, weighs approximately 140 pounds with brown hair and hazel eyes. She was last seen wearing blue jeans and a white shirt.
Anyone with information is asked to call state police at Frackville at 874-5300.
Burglary
LOCUST TOWNSHIP - Police are investigating a residential burglary that occurred between 6:50 a.m. and 2:50 p.m. Monday at a residence on Mount Zion Road, near Villageside Drive, approximately one-half mile from Routes 487 and 42. Police say jewelry and coins were taken from the home.

Residents are reminded to keep their homes and vehicles locked and to call local police to report any suspicious activity that may occur at any time.
Checkpoints announced
SHAMOKIN - Coal Township Police along with the North Central Highway Safety Network's Regional DUI Enforcement Group announce roving patrols or sobriety checkpoints will be conducted between Thursday and Nov. 24 on Routes 61, 225, 125, 54, 487, 901 and 147 and other connecting roadways.
Travelers are reminded to report drunk drivers by calling 911. To report underage drinking call 1-888-UNDER-21.
Criminal trespass
THARPTOWN - Detective Jeff Brennan has charged Katherine Bixler, 27, of 721 Center St., Tharptown, with criminal trespass, criminal attempt to commit burglary and criminal mischief relating to a break-in at the Kreco Electric building at 59 Center St. in Tharptown shortly before 3 p.m. Saturday.
Police reported Bixler removed metal siding and insulation, causing approximately $150 damage. She also is accused of attempting to break into a garage owned by Frederick Shingara at 39 Center St.
Bixler was apprehended by police a short time later hiding in brush near the scene of the crime.
Bixler was arraigned at 8 p.m. Saturday by on-call Magisterial District Judge Benjamin Apfelbaum of Sunbury and committed to Northumberland County Prison in Sunbury in lieu of $35,000 cash bail.
Two-vehicle accident
LOCUST TOWNSHIP - One person suffered a minor injury following an accident at the intersection Cemetery Hill Road and Numidia Drive at 10:11 a.m. Tuesday.
Township police reported that a 2009 Ford Fusion, driven by Jo A. Sudal, 62. of Knight Drive, Catawissa, was traveling on Cemetery Hill Road and stopped at an intersection with Numidia Drive. After stopping, Sudal failed to see a Ford F-150 truck, driven by Leonard Hursh, 44, of Coal Brook Road, Mount Joy, and pulled out in front of it. The truck driver hit the brakes and swerved to the right, but was unable to avoid the Fusion. Hursh's truck traveled off the right side of the roadway and into a large ditch, overturning onto its passenger side.
Hursh's passenger, Judith Hursh, 19, the driver's daughter, complained of a minor injury but refused transport to a hospital. Sudal was not injured and was able to drive her vehicle from the scene.
