ZERBE TOWNSHIP - Keith Dunkleberger Sr., 52, of 104 Trevorton Road, told police someone drove a vehicle around the grassy area of the Zerbe Rod and Gun Club, 649 Sportsman Road, Trevorton, causing deep ruts and bare spots.

Police said the vandalism occurred at about 11 p.m. Saturday.

Waives hearing

MOUNT CARMEL - Charles T. Picarella Jr., 33, of 869 W. Valley Ave., Apt. 2, Elysburg, waived to court Wednesday five counts of possession of a controlled substance, two counts of misbranding a controlled substance and one count of possession of drug paraphernalia at a preliminary hearing before Magisterial District Judge Hugh Jones.

Picarella is charged by Ralpho Township Patrolman Chris Grow with possessing 22 grams of cocaine, seven prescription pills, Clonezepam and Alprazolam, and suspected drug paraphernalia, including 44 clear plastic vials commonly used to package cocaine.

The drugs and paraphernalia were reportedly found by a parole agent Oct. 4 inside Picarella's vehicle parked at his property.

He was ordered by Jones to appear for plea court Dec. 31 at Northumberland County Courthouse, Sunbury, where he can plead guilty or no contest, or seek a trial by pleading not guilty.
