One injured

BUTLER TOWNSHIP - One person was injured in a two-vehicle crash at 7:36 a.m. Friday on Fountain Street (Route 61) in this Schuylkill County township.

State police at Frackville report a 2005 Honda Pilot, driven by Kerri Hampton, 39, of Catawissa, was traveling south on Route 61 and attempting to stop for traffic. A 17-year-old Wilburton female who was driving a 2010 Toyota Corolla failed to see Hampton's vehicle stopping and struck the rear end of the Pilot.

Hampton suffered a minor injury in the crash and was transported by Ashland Ambulance to Geisinger Medical Center, Danville, for evaluation. Police said the teenager will be cited. Assisting police at the scene were the Butler Township Fire Department and Ashland EMS.

Theft

WEST CHILLISQUAQUE TOWNSHIP - State police at Milton report that sometime between Thursday and Friday, someone entered the Dries Orchard store along Route 405 by cutting a lock and hasp from a rear door.

Once inside, the actors took various food items, including canned goods, pies, apple cider, potatoes, eggs, apple dumplings and cauliflower and baskets. Total value of the items and the damage is approximately $100. Anyone with information regarding the incident is asked to contact police at 524-2662.
