Burglary
SHAMOKIN TOWNSHIP - State police at Stonington are investigating a burglary at an unoccupied residence along Shamrock Road, just north of Mulberry Road.
Police said someone gained entry to the residence owned by Samuel Mondrosch, 77, of 3117 Snydertown Road, Sunbury, between Wednesday and Sunday by breaking a window on a basement door. Once inside, the burglar removed copper plumbing pipes by cutting them out and also stole six copper and aluminum heat radiators outside the building. Police said the intruder also kicked in a door to a detached garage, causing $60 damage to the padlock hasp.
Batteries, motor stolen
BARRY TOWNSHIP - State police at Schuylkill Haven reported someone stole three batteries and a cement mixer motor from a pole building and approximately 10 feet of copper pipe from a storage building at 204 Orchard Drive in this Schuylkill County township.
Police said the burglary occurred Sept. 21 or Sept. 22.
The victims of the theft are Daniel Joseph Brennan, 61, of Hamburg; John Joseph Radigan, 75, of Long Island, N.Y., and Michael John Lenick, 63, of Hegins.
