Liquor law violation

MOUNT CARMEL - The Pizza Hut restaurant, 290 Luke Fidler Road, Coal Township, was cited by the Pennsylvania State Police Bureau of Liquor Control Enforcement on Sept. 3 for failing to have the restaurant's board approved manager complete Responsible Alcohol Management program (RAMP) Training within 180 days of the board's approval of the appointment. The violation occurred between June 23 and July 7.

The charge will be brought before an administrative law judge who has the authority to impose penalties ranging from $50 to $1,000 for minor offenses and up to $5,000 for more serious offenses. The judge also can impose a license suspension or revocation of the license based on the severity of the charge.
