Condition improves
DANVILLE - The condition of Kim Marie Allen, 56, of 193 Stoney Batter Road, who allegedly was shot Monday in the right shoulder by her 61-year-old live-in boyfriend, Charles Elwin Bower, has been upgraded from critical to serious, according to a spokeswoman at Geisinger Medical Center.
Bower has been charged by state police at Milton with aggravated assault, simple assault and recklessly endangering another person. He remains in Montour County Prison in lieu of $75,000 cash bail.
PFA violation
PENN TOWNSHIP - Pablo Hernandez-Roman, 24, of 717 E. Dewart St., Shamokin, was charged by state police at Selinsgrove with violating a protection of abuse order filed against him by a 24-year-old female.
Police said the violation occurred on Minton Drive between 10 p.m. Sunday and 5 p.m. Monday. The victim was not identified by police.
