Still critical

DANVILLE - Kim Marie Allen, 56, of 193 Stoney Batter Road, who allegedly was shot Monday in the right shoulder by her 61-year-old live-in boyfriend, Charles Elwin Bower, remained in critical condition Wednesday at Geisinger Medical Center, Danville, according to a hospital spokeswoman.

Bower has been charged by state police at Milton with aggravated assault, simple assault and recklessly endangering another person. He remains in Montour County Prison.

Harassment

COAL TOWNSHIP - Robert Macminn, 66, of 1125 W. Walnut St., Coal Township, was charged by Cpl. Joshua Wynn with harassment for allegedly grabbing James Burkey, 53, of 1127 W. Walnut St., Coal Township, by the throat after both men were involved in an argument in their neighborhood at 10:45 p.m. Tuesday.

Scales church

SHAMOKIN - Joshua R. Brown, 18, of 419 S. Shamokin St., Shamokin, was cited by Cpl. Jarrod Scandle for disorderly conduct and criminal trespass for allegedly climbing onto the rear roof at Mother Cabrini Church in the 200 block of North Shamokin Street at 8:43 p.m. Tuesday, causing a hazardous condition.

Harassment

SHAMOKIN - Roger Samuel Miller II, 34, of 229 W. Sunbury St., Shamokin, was cited by Chief of Police Darwin Tobias III for harassment for allegedly hitting Ashley Milosek, 23, of the same address, with a carpet threshold at their residence at 11:34 a.m. July 18.

Disorderly conduct

SHAMOKIN - Police Chief Darwin Tobias III cited George King, 38, of 333 S. Fifth St., Shamokin, for harassment and disorderly conduct for allegedly shoving Billie Jean Howard, 31, of the same address, in the head at 2:30 p.m. Monday in the 300 block of South Fifth Street while they were arguing over a Social Security check.

Retail theft

KULPMONT - Patrolman Patrick McAndrew has charged Joseph Matthew Staskiel, 22, of 824 Spruce St., Kulpmont, with retail theft.

Police reported Staskiel is accused of stealing $7.71 worth of merchandise from Turkey Hill Minit Market Street on Chestnut Street shortly after 7 p.m. June 23.
