Hit and run
COAL TOWNSHIP - Coal Township police are investigating a hit and run during which a 2012 Chevrolet Cruze parked in the 1200 block of W. Arch St. was damaged at 4:42 p.m. Thursday.
Police said the Cruze was struck by a vehicle traveling east. A red sedan driven by a female was seen leaving the area at the time of the call.

Crash
COAL TOWNSHIP - Police said a 1998 Saturn driven by Thomas Reed, 42, of 918 W. Spruce St., Coal Township, rear-ended a 2012 Toyota driven by Robert Rowe, 50, of 1049 W. Willow St., Coal Township, when Rowe was stopped at the traffic light at the intersection of Hospital Road and Route 61 shortly before 8 p.m. Sunday.
No injuries were reported. Both vehicles sustained minor damage.
Criminal mischief
COAL TOWNSHIP - Gerald Clements, 1101 E. Race St., Coal Township, reported to Coal Township police that one or more people threw a can of paint into his swimming pool and spray painted the back door of his house and rear windows between 4:30 and 8 p.m. Saturday.
Clements estimated the damage at $3,000.
Littering
COAL TOWNSHIP - Dennis Chandler, 48, of 2 N. Vine St., Shamokin, was charged by Coal Township police with littering.
Police said a witness saw Chandler deposit garbage and litter in the area of the roundhouse in Big Mountain at 11:30 p.m. Saturday.
Curfew violations
SHAMOKIN - A 12 year old and a 13 year old were cited with curfew violations after police said they were discovered on the corner of Market and Chestnut streets at 1:47 a.m. Monday.
The two juvenile boys were released into the custody of their mothers.
Underage drinking
SHAMOKIN - Matthew Kehler, 16, of 114 N. Shamokin St., Shamokin, was cited by police with underage drinking and public intoxication.
Police said they found Kehler staggering and having a difficult time with balance at 6:16 a.m. Saturday on the 500 block of North Franklin Street.
Public drunkenness
SHAMOKIN - James O. Hill, 57, of 833 Center St., Coal Township, was cited with public drunkenness.
Police said they found Hill sleeping on a bench outside of the lobby of Lincoln Towers, alarming residents, at 5:37 a.m. Saturday. Hill was intoxicated, they said.
