COAL TOWNSHIP - Township Patrolman Jason Adams reported someone struck the passenger side mirror of a white 2014 Ford F-150 truck while it was parked in the 200 block of Webster Street, Ranshaw, between 7 p.m. Tuesday and 6:45 a.m. Wednesday.

COAL TOWNSHIP - Kenneth M. Holland, 34, of 705 N. Sunbury St., Sunbury, was charged with two felony counts of retail theft after alleged stealing $767.45 worth of merchandise from the Walmart SuperCenter in Coal Township between May 28 and 29.
Hit and run
COAL TOWNSHIP - Township police report the driver side mirror of a tan 2002 Chevrolet Cavalier was struck while parked in the 00 block of South Thomas Street between 4 p.m. Tuesday and 7:38 a.m. Wednesday.
Retail theft
COAL TOWNSHIP - Township Patrolman Matthew Hashuga charged John Howe Jr., 23, of Coal Township, and Cassondra Senoski, 20, of Shamokin, with two counts of retail theft and a charge of conspiracy to commit retail theft.
Police said the two allegedly stole $141.05 worth of merchandise from the Walmart Supercenter April 12 and May 7. Police said it is Howe's second offense; he has a prior conviction for retail theft in 2013.
Bird found
COAL TOWNSHIP - A small parrot-type bird was located in the eastern end of Coal Township Tuesday. Anyone who may have lost or own the bird can contact Coal Township Police at 570-644-0333.

COAL TOWNSHIP - Matthew Hernandez, 20, and Amanda Hernandez, 24, both of 105 W. Girard St., were charged with retail theft and criminal conspiracy to commit retail theft and criminal conspiracy to commit retail theft by Coal Township Patrolman Matthew Hashuga. Police said the two individuals allegedly stole $467.11 worth of merchandise from the Walmart SuperCenter in Coal Township between March 3 and April 29.
