Harassment

STONINGTON - A 16 year-old Shamokin male is charged with harassment. State police at Stonington said the teen grabbed a 48-year-old woman by the arm inside an East Cameron Township residence Tuesday. The Northumberland County Mental Health Department and AREA Services Ambulance assisted.

Criminal trespass

RUSH TOWNSHIP - State police at Stonington are looking for information on the drivers of snowmobiles who traveled on posted property at 90 Bellas Hollow Road without authorization between 10 a.m. and noon Sunday.

Police said Shirley Beury, of 176 Mason Lane, Selinsgrove, took note of the snowmobiles and notified police. Anyone with information is asked to call 570-286-5601.

PFA violation

TREVORTON - Kyle Ryan Dunkelberger, 29, of Trevorton, was charged by Zerbe Township Police Chief Robert John with violating a protection from abuse order by allegedly calling Mandy L. Kessler approximately 15 times by cell phone between Jan. 22 and Feb. 3 at 331 W. Market St.

Dunkelberger was arraigned Thursday night by on-call Magisterial District Judge Benjamin Apfelbaum and committed to Snyder County Prison in lieu of $5,000 bail.

DUI

STONINGTON - Jarrod Zachary Savidge, 21, of 1810 Plum Creek Road, Sunbury, was charged by Trooper Nicholas Berger of state police at Stonington with two counts of driving under the influence of alcohol, driving at an unsafe speed, careless driving, reckless driving and failure to wear a seat belt.

According to police, Savidge had a blood-alcohol content of 0.129 percent when he led police on a five mile high-speed pursuit Feb. 7 that ended at Captain Bloom and Plum Creek roads.

Crash

RIVERSIDE - A Mount Carmel man was injured when he crashed into a utility pole Friday in Rush Township.

Jared M. Smith, 32, was driving a 2003 Chevrolet Cavalier east along Route 54 near Hower Road when, according to state police at Stonington, he began to fall asleep. The vehicle drifted off the road and struck the pole about 12:40 a.m.

Smith was wearing a seat belt. The vehicle was towed. Citations are pending, police said.
