Harassment
MOUNT CARMEL - Sean M. Percy Jr., 18, of 104 N. Beech St., Mount Carmel, was cited by Patrolman Jason Drumheller for harassment for allegedly having inappropriate physical contact with a 14-year-old female at 10 p.m. Feb. 10 at the victim's residence.
Threats made
MOUNT CARMEL - Shawna B. Houser, 21, of 328 S. Diamond St., Shamokin, was cited by Lt. Chris Buhay for harassment for allegedly calling, texting and threatening BillieJo Artman approximately 35 times in a two-hour period Feb. 10.
Public drunkenness
MOUNT CARMEL - Patrolman Jason Drumheller has cited Andrew Snyder, 47, of 350 S. Vine St., Mount Carmel, for public drunkenness.
Police reported Snyder, who was intoxicated, was found at midnight Feb. 19 attempting to gain entry to a residence in the 300 block of East Center Street that he thought was his home.
Disorderly conduct
MOUNT CARMEL - Patrolman Justin Stelma cited Jacob S. Timothy, 31, of 20 W. Fifth St., Mount Carmel, for disorderly conduct and public drunkenness involving an incident at 3:20 a.m. Monday.
Police said Timothy was observed intoxicated and urinating near Union National Bank at Third and Oak streets.
Burglary charges
MOUNT CARMEL - A 13-year-old Mount Carmel boy and a 14-year-old Mount Carmel Township male were charged by Patrolmen Matthew Dillman and Justin Stelma with burglary, criminal trespass, theft and receiving stolen property relating to incidents in the 200 block of East Fourth Street at 4 p.m. Jan. 12 and 6 p.m. Jan. 13.
Theft
MOUNT CARMEL - Amanda April Bailey, 28, formerly of 855 Chestnut St., Kulpmont, was charged by Kulpmont Police Chief Michael Pitcavage with misdemeanor theft by unlawful taking and receiving stolen property after she allegedly removed $1,580.45 in items when she was evicted from her apartment.
Pitcavage said Bailey's former landlord, John Quinn, went to his property at 855 Chestnut St. to clean out the garbage left behind by Bailey. He noticed a refrigerator, stove, three smoke detectors, 14 light bulbs and 14 window blinds that had accompanied the apartment when leased were missing.
Bailey told Pitcavage that she thought she had permission to take the items.
She was arraigned Tuesday by Magisterial District Judge Hugh A. Jones and released on $5,000 bail.
Burglary, trespass
MOUNT CARMEL - Jolene Deanna Hartley, 23, of 357 Walnut St., Mifflinburg, was charged by Pennsylvania State Police Trooper Samuel Edwards with felony burglary and criminal trespass and misdemeanor theft by unlawful taking for an incident occurring on Sept. 24 at 2523 Snydertown Road, Rush Township.
Hartley's aunt and uncle, unidentified in the criminal complaint, notified police on Sept. 25 that two piggy banks containing approximately $600 were missing from their residence and they suspected Hartley had taken them the previous day when they left their front door unlocked.
Hartley's boyfriend, Kyle Mordan, admitted he was with Hartley while she entered the unlocked residence and exited holding two piggy banks, but denied involvement.
She was arraigned Tuesday by Magisterial District Judge Hugh A. Jones and released on $10,000 bail.
Hit and run, DUI
MOUNT CARMEL - Heather Ann Slovinsky, 39, 1127 W. Montgomery St., Coal Township, was charged by Mount Carmel Borough Cpl. David Donkochik with two misdemeanor counts of driving under the influence and a misdemeanor count of accidents involving damage to attended property and summary violations of driving without insurance, failure to yield while driving backwards and failing to provide information after an accident for an incident that occurred at 3:30 p.m. Jan. 29 on the zero block of South Locust Street.
