Fight charges
RANSHAW - Daren Albertson, 26, of 217 Third St., Ranshaw, and Jared Wagner, 22, of 810 N. Coal St., Shamokin, were charged by Coal Township Detective Jeff Brennan with disorderly conduct involving an Oct. 29 fight in the 200 block of Third Street. Both men were injured, police said.
Harassment
MONROE TOWNSHIP - Ray Hancock Jr., 57, of Coal Township, was cited by state police at Selinsgrove for harassment after an incident at 4 p.m. Jan. 14 at Lowe's.
Police said Hancock chestbumped a co-worker, William Astorino, 64, of Sunbury, in an attempt to start a fight.
Drug paraphernalia
KULPMONT - Mark E. Adzema, 39, of 1257 Poplar St., Kulpmont, was charged with possession of drug paraphernalia after he was found with wax paper packets with heroin residue and a glass pipe in his residence at 6:24 p.m. Dec. 19, police said. The charges were filed by Kulpmont Police Patrolman Joshua Pastucka. A preliminary hearing is scheduled for Feb. 4 before Magisterial District Judge Hugh Jones, of Mount Carmel.
DUI
MOUNT CARMEL - State police charged Stephen A. Mekosh, 42, of 319 S. Chestnut St., Mount Carmel, with two counts driving under the influence and a variety of traffic citations following a traffic stop on Maple and Third streets at 1:35 a.m. Dec. 7.
According to police, chemical blood testing showed Mekosh's blood alcohol level to be .222 percent, more than twice the legal limit.
The charges were filed with Magisterial District Judge Hugh Jones, of Mount Carmel. A preliminary hearing is scheduled for Feb. 4.
Hit and run
RALPHO TOWNSHIP - Police are investigating a hit-and-run accident involving a structure which occurred sometime between 3 p.m. Monday and 12:30 p.m. Tuesday.
Police said a vehicle struck the building with its bumper, shattering the vehicle's side window or rear window. The bumper of the vehicle should be a silver/bronze color and should contain noticeable damage and a broken taillight.

Terroristic threats
MOUNT CARMEL - A borough man was charged with terroristic threats and related crimes following threats made to a woman Saturday.
Borough Police Cpl. David Donkochik reported in court documents police received a call from a female who said she received threatening phone calls from her estranged husband, Gregory A. Barkus, 39, of 522 E. Avenue, Mount Carmel.
Police said Barkus allegedly discussed killing the victim and her family members and called her obscene names in the messages. Donkochik told the victim to call Barkus, who allegedly said he would kill the officer, too.
Barkus was arraigned Tuesday on the charges of terroristic threats, stalking and harassment before Magisterial District Judge Hugh Jones, of Mount Carmel. He was released on $10,000 bail, and a preliminary hearing is scheduled for Jan. 28 before Jones.
DUI
RUSH TOWNSHIP - David W. Fritz, 53, of 190 D & H Ave., Danville, was charged with driving under the influence, careless driving, driving a vehicle at a safe speed and other traffic citations following a traffic stop on State Route 4001 at Ploppert Road, Rush Township at 10:10 p.m. Oct. 17.
Pennsylvania State Police Trooper Brian Ronk filed the charges following the investigation into a one-car accident involving Fritz. Police did chemical blood testing on Fritz and determined his blood alcohol level was .181 percent.
A preliminary hearing on the case before Magisterial District Judge Hugh Jones, of Mount Carmel, is scheduled for Feb. 18.
