COAL TOWNSHIP - Whitney Bostian, 23, of 1013 N. Franklin St., Shamokin, is charged by Coal Township police with retail theft for under-ringing several products while going through the self-checkout line at Walmart Supercenter in Coal Township Oct. 8. The total amount of products was $47.36.

COAL TOWNSHIP - Lynn Adams, 42, of 400 S. Bay St., Coal Township, is charged by Coal Township police with retail theft for concealing merchandise valued at $90.34 and attempting to leave Walmart Supercenter without paying for the items Oct. 2.
Pump stolen
LAVELLE - Officials at Lavelle Motors, Route 901. Lavelle, reported to Butler Township Police an early 1900s antique well pump, made of cast iron and weighing approximately 150 pounds, was stolen from the dealership's property between Thursday and Friday. Anyone with information on the theft is asked to contact police at 570-875-4131.
Disorderly conduct
MOUNT CARMEL - April Ortega, 40, of Kulpmont, was cited by Mount Carmel Township Police Patrolman Brian Carnuccio for disorderly conduct following an incident at 1:50 p.m. Wednesday at the Mount Carmel Area Junior/Senior High School.
Police said Ortega was making unreasonable noise, screaming and yelling in the principal's office. When the officer told Ortega to calm down, she allegedly started using obscene language at Carnuccio and in front of students and staff in the office.
Code violation
COAL TOWNSHIP - Code enforcement officer Chris Petrovich cited Kayla Shaffer, of 1829 Trevorton Road, Nov. 12 and 13 for violating the township ordinances on accumulation of garbage on the side porch and rear yard and having high brush, grass and weeds exceeding the maximum height of six inches.
Keys found
COAL TOWNSHIP - A set of keys was found Thursday in the area of the Springfield playground. They can be claimed at the Coal Township Police Station between the hours of 8 a.m. and 4 p.m., Monday through Friday.
