Drug charges
SHAMOKIN - Zackery D. Hayes, 18, of 40 E. Sunbury St., Shamokin, was charged by Cpl. Bryan Primerano with two counts of possession of drug paraphernalia and one count of possession of heroin involving two separate incidents.
Hayes was charged with possessing a heroin wrapper at his home June 29.
He also was charged with possessing heroin and drug paraphernalia at the Shamokin police station June 30.
Motorcyclist charged
SHAMOKIN - Several charges have been filed by Patrolman Raymond Siko II against Jeremy C. Fisher, 38, of 537 1/2 W. Shamokin St., Trevorton, in connection with a pursuit that started at about 5 p.m. July 10 on Mount Carmel Street near Pool World.
Fisher was observed by police allegedly texting while operating a motorcycle carelessly, prompting police to pursue him. Police said Fisher was able to elude police while traveling through several city streets. He is accused of failing to stop for stop signs at Dewart and Franklin streets and Dewart and Shamokin streets and running a red light at Sunbury and Pearl streets.
Fisher was located at his home the next morning and later charged after an interview with police.
Fisher was charged with fleeing or attempting to elude police, a stop sign violation, careless driving, texting while operating a motor vehicle, failing to wear a helmet and a red light violation.
