Drug charges
MOUNT CARMEL - Michelle M. Brown, 54, and Luciano Guldin, 27, both of 12 N. Walnut St., Mount Carmel, were charged by Police Chief Todd Owens and Patrolman Matthew Dillman with felony drug-related offenses involving an incident at about 7 p.m. Tuesday at their home.
Brown was charged with three counts each of delivery of a controlled substance, possession with intent to deliver a controlled substance, possession of a controlled substance and possession of drug paraphernalia, and one count of criminal conspiracy and criminal use of a communication facility.
Police reported Brown delivered four bags of heroin and four Percocet tablets to a confidential informant.
Guldin was charged with one count each of possession with intent to deliver 20 Percocet tablets, criminal conspiracy and possession of 20 Percocet tablets.
In addition to possessing Percocet, police said Guldin conspired with Brown to deliver four Percocet tablets to an informant.
Brown and Guldin were arraigned by on-call Magisterial District Judge Michael Diehl of Milton and committed to Northumberland County Prison in Sunbury in lieu of $75,000 and $50,000 cash bail, respectively.
Hindering apprehension
MOUNT CARMEL TOWNSHIP - Patrolman Kelly Campbell has charged Damien M. Slovick, 26, of 149 E. Saylor St., Atlas, with two counts each of hindering apprehension and possession of drug paraphernalia relating to an incident shortly after 2 p.m. Tuesday at his residence.
Police said Slovick harbored Kaitlyn Else and Bryan Shedaker, who were wanted by Northumberland County adult probation for probation violations and state police for a parole violation, respectively. He also is accused of possessing a glass smoking device, a clear light bulb with burnt residue inside, several clear and blue plastic bags, a black travel case containing several syringes and a clear plastic container with black electrical tape around it and a clear liquid inside.
Retail theft
MOUNT CARMEL - Jason R. Weikel, 34, of 19 S. Hickory St., Mount Carmel, was charged by Patrolman William Adamski with retail theft.
According to a criminal complaint, Weikel allegedly stole $26.77 in merchandise from Turkey Hill Minit Market between April 2 and May 5.
DUI charges
RIVERSIDE - Trudi Kelley Zeigler, 45, of 306 Ridgeview, Danville, was charged by Patrolman Kerry Parkes with two counts of driving under the influence of alcohol, reckless driving and careless driving in connection with a May 15 incident at Ninth Street and Avenue I.
Police said Zeigler had a blood-alcohol content of .220 percent.
Furnishing alcohol
EAST CAMERON TOWNSHIP - Leonard L. Lucas, 54, of 200 Foura Road, East Cameron Township, was charged by Trooper David Myers of state police at Stonington with selling or furnishing liquor or alcohol to minors involving a Feb. 1 incident at his home.
Police reported Lucas allowed his underage daughter and several of her female friends to drink Mike's Hard Lemonade during a birthday party. Police said the underage females were cited for underage drinking.
Simple assault
MOUNT CARMEL - Brieana Lynn Hine, 21, of 14 S. Walnut St., Mount Carmel, was charged by Lt. Christopher Buhay with simple assault and harassment.
Police said Hine allegedly pushed her mother, Debra Dinklocker, pulled her hair and threw her onto the floor at their home May 22, causing Dinklocker to suffer a head contusion and facial redness.
Multiple charges
RIVERSIDE - Jordan C. Stavely, 22, of 524 Arch St., Sunbury, was charged by Patrolman Gerard Zeidler with two counts of driving under the influence of alcohol, failure to drive in a single lane, driving at an unsafe speed, permitting an unauthorized person to drive, failing to possess a registration card, failing to possess an insurance card and restrictions on alcoholic beverages.
The charges relate to a May 13 incident on Avenue G near 11th Street.
Police said Stavely had a blood-alcohol content of .112 percent.
Matthew W. Otting, 21, of 113 S. Awl St., Sunbury, also was charged by Zeidler with two counts of driving under the influence of alcohol, driving under suspension, failure to exhibit a registration card and failure to exhibit an insurance card in connection with the same incident.
Police said Otting had a blood-alcohol content of .133 percent.
Theft
MOUNT CARMEL TOWNSHIP - Chief of Police Brian Hollenbush has charged Harold John McGurl Jr., 41, of 903 Brock St., Ashland, with theft and issuing a bad check relating to an April 11 incident.
Police said McGurl issued a bad check totaling $362 to SOS Metals Inc. along Route 54.
False reports
MOUNT CARMEL - Lt. Chris Buhay has charged Samantha Frye, 30, of Mahanoy City, with unsworn falsification to authorities and three counts of false reports involving an April 12 incident outside 338 S. Pear St.
Police reported Frye falsely accused Jason Ruskuski of confronting her with a loaded pistol and pointing it at her.
Drug paraphernalia
MOUNT CARMEL - Patrolman Justin Stelma has charged Timothy S. Shirk, 48, of 24 E. Third St., Apt. 400, Mount Carmel, with possession of drug paraphernalia, possession of marijuana, disorderly conduct and public drunkenness relating to a Feb. 8 disturbance at his apartment.
DUI
MOUNT CARMEL - Paul C. Spear, 30, of 410 E. North St., Marion Heights, was charged by Patrolman Kelly Campbell with two counts of driving under the influence of alcohol, driving under the influence of a controlled substance, driving under the influence of a combination of drugs and failure to drive in a single lane.
The charges relate a July 13 traffic stop at West Avenue and North Poplar Street.
Police said Spear had a blood-alcohol content of .160 percent and also had hydrocodone in his blood system.
DUI
MOUNT CARMEL TOWNSHIP - Jason R. Marinelli, 28, of 240 E. Seventh St., Mount Carmel, was charged by Patrolman Kelly Campbell with two counts of driving under the influence of alcohol and careless driving relating to a May 4, 2013, accident on Route 61 (Centralia Highway).
Police said Marinelli had a blood-alcohol content of .151 percent.
DUI
RALPHO TOWNSHIP - Trooper David Myers of state police at Stonington has charged Barbrann Rooney, 46, of 16 Pine Ave., Elysburg, with two counts of driving under the influence of alcohol, failure to drive in a single lane and careless driving involving a May 5 traffic stop at the intersection of Route 54 and Bear Gap Road.
Police said Rooney had a blood-alcohol content of .203 percent.
