Criminal mischief
UPPER AUGUSTA TOWNSHIP - State police at Stonington reported a 30-year-old female from Mifflinburg came to the residence of Broc Robert Smith, 32, of 4951 State Route 890, at 4:30 a.m. Saturday and damaged his personal vehicle, a work vehicle and broke a rear window.
Police said charges are pending against the woman, who was not identified.
Retail theft
COAL TOWNSHIP - Michael Hanko, 24, of Shamokin, and Marquese Seger, 20, of Coal Township, have been charged by Patrolman Matthew Hashuga with retail theft and criminal conspiracy to commit retail theft involving two incidents at Walmart.
Police reported Hanko and Seger allegedly removed $67.92 worth of merchandise Dec. 30 and $229.60 worth of merchandise Jan. 3.
Felony offenses
COAL TOWNSHIP - Nicholas Villarreal, 45, of Shamokin, was charged by Patrolman Matthew Hashuga with two felony counts of retail theft relating to two incidents at Walmart.
Police said Villarreal stole $916.92 worth of merchandise Jan. 19 and also removed items valued at $337.84 Jan. 20.
Retail theft
COAL TOWNSHIP - Patrolman Matthew Hashuga charged Joshua Scandle, 34, of Shamokin, with retail theft involving a Jan. 20 incident at Walmart in which he allegedly stole $687.80 worth of merchandise.
Steals soda
KULPMONT - Mark Patrick Milo, 44, of North Sixth Street, Kulpmont, was charged by state police at Stonington with retail theft for removing seven bottles of Pepsi from Fuel On in the 600 block of Chestnut Street at 4:37 p.m. Sunday.
1 hurt in crash
MANDATA - A Dornsife man was injured Friday in a two-vehicle accident along Route 225 south of Mandata in Lower Mahanoy Township.
Earl C. Kahler, 86, was driving a 2001 Buick Lesabre south about 8 a.m. when Lisa M. Michael, 43, of Herndon, entered the highway in a 2005 Chrysler Pacifica and caused the collision, according to Trooper Brian Ronk, state police at Stonington.
Michael, Kahler and a passenger, Violet Kahler, 84, of Dornsife, were wearing seat belts. Neither of the women were injured, police said.
Earl Kahler's injuries were described by police as moderate.
Drug charges
SHAMOKIN - Cpl. Bryan Primerano has filed several drug charges against Eric Weikel, 28, of 828 N. Sixth St., Shamokin, in connection with two incidents last month at Weikel's home.
Weikel was charged with two counts each of delivery of marijuana and possession with intent to deliver marijuana involving incidents on Jan. 25 and Jan. 27 in which he sold marijuana to a confidential informant for $20.
Drug offenses
SHAMOKIN - Glenn Hart, 26, of 1001 E. Dewart St., Shamokin, was charged by Cpl. Bryan Primerano with possession of drug paraphernalia and possession of a controlled substance.
Police said Hart possessed heroin wrappers and Alprazolam Jan. 29.
Fentanyl violation
SHAMOKIN - Cpl. Darwin Tobias III charged Kayla Marie Royer, 25, of 343 S. Diamond St., Shamokin, with possessing Fetanyl without a prescription at her residence Jan. 26.
Multiple charges
SHAMOKIN TOWNSHIP - Jeffrey S. Luta, 41, of 3413 State Route 61, Sunbury, was charged by Trooper James Yankovich of state police at Stonington with two counts of driving under the influence of alcohol, driving on the wrong side of the road, failure to drive in a single lane, a turn signal violation, careless driving and a seat belt violation involving a Nov. 11 traffic stop along Route 61 in the Stonington area.
Police said Luta had a blood-alcohol content of .158 percent.
Drug, alcohol offenses
SHAMOKIN TOWNSHIP - Trooper David Myers of state police at Stonington charged Eugene S. Warren, 50, of 16 S. Franklin St., Shamokin, with two counts of driving under the influence of alcohol, two counts of driving under the influence of a combination of drugs, possession of a small amount of marijuana, possession of drug paraphernalia, depositing waste on a highway, failure to drive in a single lane and careless driving.
The charges relate to a Dec. 21 incident on Route 61 near Route 4005 in Shamokin Township.
Police reported Warren had a blood-alcohol content of .233 percent and had marijuana in his system.
