Theft arrest
COAL TOWNSHIP - A 20-year-old township resident is accused of stealing video gaming equipment and a debit card from his father. He is also accused of withdrawing hundreds of dollars from his father's bank account.
Police said Marquese T. Seger, of 921 W. Mulberry St., stole the debit card from Job Seger, of 934 W. Willow St., and made five withdrawals totaling $568.48 from several Shamokin ATMs Dec. 27 and Dec. 28.
The stolen Nintendo Wii, games and accessories are valued at an estimated $1,200, police said.
Marquese T. Seger admitted to the thefts, police said. He was charged by Patrolman Jason Adams with a felony count of access device fraud, two misdemeanor counts of theft and one misdemeanor count of receiving stolen property.
Seger is currently held at Northumberland County Prison, Sunbury, after violating bail conditions stemming from a 2012 theft arrest. He was jailed last week after being arrested by Shamokin police for allegedly stealing multiple items from unlocked cars.
