Simple assault
WHITE DEER TOWNSHIP - Cindy Hall, 55, of Sunbury, was charged by state police at Milton with simple assault and harassment involving a disturbance at 3:35 p.m. Thursday at 20 Foresman Circle.
Police reported Hall allegedly held a knife to Darnell Wilson's throat and threatened to kill Wilson. The 33-year-old Wilson, who resides in Sunbury, punched Hall in the face, prompting Hall to flee the scene, police said.
Hit and run
COAL TOWNSHIP - Wendy Kleman, 35, of 1661 Tioga St., Coal Township, told police an unknown vehicle struck her 2003 Nissan Altima between 2 and 6:30 a.m. Saturday in front of her residence.
Police said the passenger mirror on Kleman's auto was knocked off.
Theft charges
SHAMOKIN TOWNSHIP - Two Shamokin men have been charged by state police at Stonington with stealing $1,275 worth of various parts from a 955 Cat Tracks loader from Snyder's One-Stop at 5351 Route 61 Dec. 8.
James H. Latshaw, 47, and Christopher J. Hollenbach, 31, both of 126 E. Arch St., are charged by Trooper Thomas Leib with theft, receiving stolen property and criminal trespass. Latshaw also was charged with resisting arrest for fleeing from police.
Police said Latshaw and Hollenbach removed the heavy equipment parts and then attempted to scrap the items at Stoneroad Iron and Metal in Shamokin Township. Upon receiving a tip that both men were at Stoneroad, Leib responded to the business and took Hollenbach into custody. Police said Latshaw fled on foot, crossing Shamokin Creek.
