DANVILLE - Meagan Sauder, 23, no address listed, was cited by state police at Milton for harassment for allegedly striking 44-year-old Stacy Oswald in the face on Oct. 31 at Danville State Hospital.
Hospital disturbance
LEWISBURG - Nicole D. Drumheller, 40, of Sunbury, was cited by state police at Milton for harassment for allegedly striking Leanna M. Gingrich, 42, of Winfield, at 2:43 a.m. Monday in the emergency room at Evangelical Community Hospital.
Disorderly conduct
SHAMOKIN - Cpl. Darwin Tobias III cited Lawrence J. Day, 21, of 220 N. Vine St., Shamokin, for disorderly conduct in connection with an altercation Day had with two females at 2:10 a.m. Nov. 2 in the first block of East Independence Street.
Deer causes accident
DEER LAKE - An Ashland woman was not injured in a one-vehicle crash at 6:25 p.m Sunday on Route 61 near Chestnut Ridge Drive in Deer Lake, Schuylkill County.
State police at Schuylkill Haven report a 2009 GMC Envoy, driven by Kathleen D. Rogers, 62, of Ashland, was traveling north on Route 61 through a single-lane construction zone. At that time, a deer entered the lane from the east berm. Rogers swerved to the left to avoid the deer and impacted the concrete barrier between the north and south lanes.
Following impact, Rogers was able to continue down the hill and pull onto the east berm away from traffic. She was not injured, but the vehicle has to be towed from the scene.
Siblings cited
SHAMOKIN - A 14-year-old Shamokin girl and her 15-year-old brother were cited by Patrolman First Class William Miner for harassment for allegedly shouting and cursing at neighbors in the 100 block of North Marshall Street at 7:45 p.m. Saturday.
Harassment
SHAMOKIN - Aaron M. Bixler, 24, of 921 N. Washington St., Shamokin, was cited by Cpl. Bryan Primerano for harassment for allegedly swerving his vehicle at Tracy Coleman, 35, of 311 W. Pine St., Shamokin, at 4:55 p.m. Friday at Sunbury and Shamokin streets.
Ordinance violations
SHAMOKIN - Cpl. Bryan Primerano has cited Jhoel Leonardo, of Richmond Hill, N.Y., and Ola A. Adedji, of 204-206 W. Mulberry St., Shamokin, for violating a public nuisance ordinance.
Police said Leonardo's property at 625 E. Commerce St. and Adedji's home are collapsing and have materials falling from them.
Both citations were issued Tuesday.
Steals car
M0UNT CARMEL - Robert Powers, 28, of 339 E. Seventh St., Mount Carmel, was arraigned Tuesday by Magisterial District Judge Hugh Jones on charges of theft, receiving stolen property and unauthorized use of a vehicle.
According to a criminal complaint filed by Patrolman Justin Drumheller, Powers, who was a front-seat passenger in a silver 1999 Saturn owned by Fred Scherr, is accused of stealing the car at about 5:45 p.m. Sunday when Scherr stopped the vehicle in the 300 block of South Turnpike Street to put water in the radiator as coolant.
Police stopped Powers a short time later at Seventh and Beech streets and took him into custody.
Powers was committed to Northumberland County Prison in Sunbury in lieu of $50,000 bail.
