DUI

MOUNT CARMEL - Chelsea R. Lentini, 22, of 422 W. Second St., was charged with driving under the influence and careless driving following a crash in the area of 247 E. Avenue at 1:34 a.m. Oct. 4.

Borough police were called to the scene for a crash and Lentini told the officers that she swerved to miss an animal and struck two parked vehicles. Officers noted that Lentini appeared to be under the influence and had her submit to chemical blood testing, which showed her blood alcohol level to be .205 percent at the time of the crash.

The charges against Lentini were filed with Magisterial District Judge Hugh Jones, of Mount Carmel, and a preliminary hearing is scheduled for Wednesday, Dec. 4.

Harassment

COAL TOWNSHIP - Tonya Rosetta 33, of 195 Jefferson Lane, Sunbury, was charged with harassment by police after allegedly pretending to be her husband, Michael Rosetta, and sent several harassing text message to Rosetta's ex-wife, Holly Bentley, 32, of West Pine Street.

On Oct. 9, Tonya Rosetta was warned not to have any contact with Bentley.

Criminal mischief

SUNBURY - State police at Stonington said someone damaged a driveway light column valued at $500 at Sunbury Animal Hospital, Route 890, sometime between 7:30 and 9 p.m. Oct. 25.

New driver hits vehicles, porch

MIDDLEPORT - A 19-year-old Myerstown man who was learning to drive struck three vehicles and a front porch at 4:43 p.m. Friday at 12 N. Second St., according to state police at Frackville.

Trooper Paul Hardnock said Nicholas Parsons was attempting to parallel park a 1986 Chevrolet Blazer at the Schuylkill County address, when he sped forward and struck a 1984 Coleman pop-up camper owned by Kevin Bressler, 46, of Middleport.

After hitting the camper, Parsons continued forward and struck a parked 2002 Chevrolet Trailblazer owned by Mario Davila, of 384 W. Snyder Ave., Lansford, said police.

The Trailblazer was pushed into a 2009 Toyota Scion owned by Stephen Stefan, of 10 N. Second St., Middleport, said police.

Parson then drove the Blazer into the front porch of 12 N. Second St., owned by Sandra Butcavage, and caused moderate damage, police said.

The Blazer and Trailblazer were towed from the scene, police said.
