One injured
PAXINOS - An Elysburg woman was taken to a hospital for treatment following a two-vehicle crash on Route 61 near Masser's Farm Market at 10:54 a.m. Wednesday.
State police at Stonington report a 2005 Lexus LS430, driven by Jill M. Klinger, 47, of Elysburg, pulled from Masser's Farm Market parking lot into southbound traffic on Route 61. The Lexus was struck on the driver's side by a 1997 Dodge Ram 3500, driven by Jason S. O'Connor, 32, of Northumberland.
Klinger suffered moderate injuries in the crash and was transported to Geisinger Medical Center, Danville, by Elysburg Ambulance. A condition report was not available Tuesday afternoon.
O'Connor and his passengers, a 10-year-old male, 3-year-old male, and a 7-year-old female, were not injured in the crash. Police said Klinger will be cited for the crash.
Attempted burglary
GIRARDVILLE - An 18-year-old Girardville woman is facing charges of attempted burglary for allegedly trying to gain entry into Jiffy Mart Convenience Store at 4:07 p.m. June 26, according to state police at Frackville.
Trooper Paul E. Hardnock said Melinda Marie Mahmod was observed on the roof of the business at 146 N. Second St.

Investigation continues
LOWER MAHANOY TOWNSHIP - State police at Stonington continue to investigate a burglary at 11:50 a.m. Tuesday at a home on Mahantongo Creek Road.
According to police, a person or persons entered a residence owned by K. Souder, 52. of Dalmatia, through a sliding glass door. Police also reported the person or persons first knocked on a locked front door, and when no one answered, knocked on the sliding glass door before entering the home.
No items were reported missing or displaced at the residence and the actor fled undetected, police said.
