Theft at business
HERNDON - Tracy Adams, owner of TL Adams, Mandata Road, reported to state police at Stonington someone broke into his business and removed items valued at $6,400 sometime between 6 p.m. June 17 and 6 a.m. June 18.
Taken from the business were $250 in cash, a Howa .243 caliber rifle, a Kawasaki KX65 Mini Racer motorcycle, an Echo gas tiller/cultivator, two Echo gas blowers, two Echo hedge trimmers, an Echo shredder and vacuum, five Echo gas trimmers, seven Echo chain saws, a Dolmar electric hedge trimmer, a Dolmar electric chain shaw, 24 cans of oil, 10 chain saw chains and three pairs of gloves.
All items, except for the rifle and motorcycle, were in new condition and displayed for retail sale. The total estimated value is $6,400.
Drug charge filed
COAL TOWNSHIP - A 14-year-old female from Shamokin has been charged with possession of a small amount of marijuana by Coal Township Police. Officers say the marijuana was found inside her book bag while she was attending Shamokin Area Middle/High School on May 16.
The charge has been filed with Northumberland County Juvenile Services.
Disorderly conduct
MOUNT CARMEL - Borough Police Officer Jason Drumheller cited a 15-year-old Marion Heights female with disorderly conduct for kicking over a portable toilet on the Mount Carmel Borough Recreation Complex/Little League grounds.
Police received information that the female was responsible for the act and then viewed a video on Facebook that displayed the incident. The citation was filed through the office of Magisterial District Judge Hugh Jones, of Mount Carmel.

COAL TOWNSHIP - Code enforcement officer Chris Petrovich filed the following citations against property owners Monday for violations of the township's ordinances:
George Atiyeh, 54, of Allentown, cited for brush, grass and weed violations at 1508 Wabash St. and 1007 W. Walnut St.
Jill M. Kozloski, 32, of Coal Township, cited for accumulation of garbage and rubbish in front of 1756 Tioga St.
Thomas A. Griffith, of Winchester, cited for failure to have an occupancy permit and failure to report the status of occupancy at 1030 W. Lynn St.
Public drunkenness
MOUNT CARMEL - Jeremiah J. Worzalla, 28, of 19 S. Beech St., Mount Carmel, was cited for disorderly conduct and public drunkenness following an incident at 2:04 a.m. June 2 on South Beech Street.
At that time, police observed Worzalla setting off explosive air display fireworks in the area. Police determined Worzalla had been drinking.
The citation was filed by Mount Carmel Borough Police Officer Jason Drumheller, who was assisted on scene by Officer William Adamski. The citations were filed with Magisterial District Judge Hugh Jones, of Mount Carmel.

SHAMOKIN - Code enforcement officer Rich Bozza has filed the following citations against property owners June 18 for violations of the city's ordinances
Ted Long, of 524 Mill St., Catawissa, cited for failing to register his rental properties for 2013.
Robert Santore, of 217 Third St., Ranshaw, cited for having the structure at 205 S. Seventh St., Shamokin, vacant for more than 10 years.
Malcolm Derk, of 334 Chestnut St., Sunbury, cited for having a vacant property and causing a public nuisance at 26 N. Marshall St., Shamokin.
Esther Kolody, of 802 Trevorton Road, cited for having a vacant property at 524 N. Second St., Shamokin.
Disorderly conduct
MOUNT CARMEL - Borough police cited Hasan Mustafa Abuomar, 19, of 239 S. Hickory St., for disorderly conduct following an incident at 5:45 a.m. June 3 in the 100 block of West Fourth Street.
Police said excessive music could be heard coming from a motor vehicle driving past the police department. Minutes later, the same vehicle drove by for the second time, playing excessively loud music. The vehicle was stopped and Abuomar was issued a citation. The citation was filed with Magisterial District Judge Hugh Jones, of Mount Carmel.
Scattering rubbish
MOUNT CARMEL - Amanda A. Hurlburt, 20, of 401 Melrose St., Marion Heights, was cited for scattering rubbish by borough Police Chief Todd Owens, based on a call made to police at 9:05 a.m. June 17.
Police say the caretaker of 242 S. Poplar St., Mount Carmel, found a bag of household trash on the property. A manila envelope with Hurlburt's name, address and telephone number on it was located inside the bag.
The citation was filed with Magisterial District Judge Hugh Jones, of Mount Carmel.
