Crash

COAL TOWNSHIP - Police filed three citations against a township man following a two-vehicle crash Wednesday at Mulberry and Locust streets.

Kevineric Eltringham, 29, of 1423 W. Arch St., was cited by Coal Township Deputy Chief Chris Williams with driving without a license, careless driving and driving a vehicle without certificate of inspection.

Police said Eltringham was turning a 1995 Jeep from Mulberry Street onto Locust Street when he struck a 2006 Kia driven by Joan Brown, of 1105 W. Mulberry St., Coal Township.

The Kia sustained minor damage. The Jeep, registered to Kinda Yost and Angel Sock, of 32 N. Anthracite St., Shamokin, was not damaged, police say.

No injuries were reported.

DUI charges

MOUNT CARMEL - Jennifer Lynn Wunder, 33, of 120 S. Poplar St., Mount Carmel, was charged by Patrolman Kevin Katch with two counts of driving under the influence of alcohol, possession of drug paraphernalia, possession of a small amount of marijuana and driving the wrong way on a one-way street.

The charges were filed in connection with a March 9 vehicle stop in the first block of North Oak Street.

Police reported Wunder had a blood-alcohol content of .154 percent.

Theft

MOUNT CARMEL - Patrolman William Adamski has charged Richard W. Kramer, 35, of 231 S. Walnut St., Mount Carmel, with theft and receiving stolen property.

According to a criminal complaint, Kramer stole copper tubing, oil and wire valued at $297.82 from Visintainer's Motel at 50 W. Fourth St. between July 1 and Feb. 8.

Provides pot

MOUNT CARMEL - Peter A. Plum III, 44, of 143 E. Avenue, Mount Carmel, was charged by Patrolman Justin Stelma with recklessly endangering another person and corruption of minors relating to a March 7 incident in the 100 block of West Fourth Street.

Police said Plum provided marijuana to a 14-year-old female who became sick and confused and experienced extreme headaches. The teen underwent emergency room treatment at Geisinger-Shamokin Area Community Hospital.

Steals money

SHAMOKIN - Kristin Denelle Blass, 30, of 534 N. Market St., Apt. 6, Shamokin, was charged by Patrolman Scott Weaver with theft for allegedly stealing $20 from a purse owned by Ardella Dobson.

Police said the money was stolen March 13 from Dobson's Carpet Store.

Blass also was charged by Patrolman Raymond Siko II with five counts of retail theft for allegedly removing $143.99 in various merchandise from the Dollar General Store, Rite Aid Pharmacy, Royer's Crafts, Ye-Old Primitive Crafts and Puff's Discount Cigarette Store on March 22.

DUI offenses

SHAMOKIN - Kimberly E. Readinger, 26, of Northumberland, was charged by Patrolman Raymond Siko II with two counts of driving under the influence of alcohol, driving under suspension and driving on the wrong side of the road.

Readinger, who had a blood-alcohol content of .260 percent, was charged in connection with a March 9 incident in the 300 block of West Spruce Street.

Drug charges

COAL TOWNSHIP - Winter Ivory Marie Fann, 21, of Wilkes-Barre, has been charged by Trooper James Yankovich of state police at Stonington with possession of a small amount of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia relating to a March 9 incident in the parking lot at SCI-Coal Township.
