Gun incident
SHAMOKIN - Robert J. Bresko, 43, of 926 E. Sunbury St., Shamokin, has been charged by Cpl. Darwin Tobias III with disorderly conduct and public drunkenness relating to a March 12 incident involving an AK-47 assault rifle in the parking lot of the Shamokin Post Office.
At about 10:15 p.m., police said two unidentified people were sitting in a car when Bresko pulled into the lot in a black 1998 Chevrolet Blazer and began staring at them. The victims said Bresko then asked, "Who drives that (expletive) white Camaro?"
When one of the occupants of the Camaro told Bresko not to worry about it, police said Bresko began to call him obscene names and asked him to stick his head into the vehicle before asking, "Who's (expletive) around now?"
One of the victims said Bresko then picked up an AK-47 assault rifle and placed it on the front seat. The victim told police Bresko appeared to be intoxicated.
After the victims provided police with a description of Bresko and his vehicle, Patrolman William Zalinski located Bresko's vehicle in the 500 block of North Shamokin Street and found the rifle lying on the seat/floor area.
