Underage drinking
MOUNT CARMEL - Officer Patrick McAndrew cited Justin B. Schriner, 19, of 322 W. Spruce St., Shamokin, for underage drinking relating to an incident at 5:30 a.m. June 3 in the 200 block of South Chestnut Street.
During an investigation, police apprehended Anthony McGinley, 29, of 325 S. Plum St., Mount Carmel, who was wanted on a bench warrant out of Lycoming County. McGinley was incarcerated at Northumberland County Prison in Sunbury.
Disorderly conduct
COAL TOWNSHIP - Nicholas Karlaza, 20, of 21 Back St., Mount Carmel, was charged with disorderly conduct following an incident on West Spruce Street at 3:56 a.m. May 17.
Coal Township Police Patrolman Chris Lapotsky said Karlaza was removed from a residence by Chase Gallie and was standing on the front porch banging on the door to get back inside when he smashed the window on the door.
Harassment
MOUNT CARMEL - Officer David Donkochik cited Barry A. Strike, 61, of 517 E. Fourth St., Mount Carmel, for harassment.
Police said Strike repeatedly harassed a 16-year-old female in the 100 block of East Water Street at 7:25 p.m. June 1.
Disorderly conduct
SHAMOKIN - James Mowery, 22, of 231 S. Vine St., Shamokin, was cited by Shamokin City Police Patrolman William Zalinski for disorderly conduct following an incident at 12:30 a.m. Tuesday in the 600 block of Bear Valley Avenue.
Police say Mowery was in the street, repeatedly threatening another person and yelling obscenties, and failed to stop after police told him to.
Theft charges
MOUNT CARMEL - A 13-year-old male, a 15-year-old male and a 14-year-old male, all from Mount Carmel, were charged by Patrolman William Adamski with theft, receiving stolen property and conspiracy to commit theft relating to an incident at 1:30 a.m. May 6.
Police said the teens are accused of taking a registration plate from a vehicle and stealing another vehicle.
The juveniles were stopped by police while in possession of the stolen vehicle that contained the stolen registration plate.
Retail theft
COAL TOWNSHIP - Dawn Fegley, 51, of 9A E. Commerce St., Shamokin, was charged by Coal Township Police after an incident at the Wal-Mart SuperCenter, at 11:07 a.m. May 30 when she allegedly pushed out a shopping cart with $85.88 worth of merchandise inside it without making a payment.
Ordinance violations
TREVORTON - Zerbe Township Police cited the owners of four properties for violating a township ordinance by failing to cut their grass. Those cited are, Pauline Kolody, of 603 W. Mulberry St., Coal Township; Carol Whary, of Box 439 Trevorton Road, Shamokin; Joshua Seedor, of 132 E. Market St., Trevorton, and Sopramco III REO LLC, Fairport, N.Y.
The property owners were notified and have five days to comply with ordinance.
