Criminal mischief
SHAMOKIN TOWNSHIP - State police at Stonington reported someone shot holes in a metal out building and trailer owned by David I. Shulski, 3303 Irish Valley Road, Paxinos, between Dec. 26 and Jan. 1.
Underage drinking
WEST CHILLISQUAQUE TOWNSHIP - David M. King, 19, of Greenwich, Conn., and a student at Bucknell University, was charged by state police at Milton with underage drinking relating to an incident at 1:49 a.m. Sunday at the intersection of Routes 45 and 405 in this Northumberland County township.
Police said King was observed stumbling along Route 45 before stopping along a concrete divider and bracing himself by grabbing a nearby road sign.
Burglary
MILTON - State police at Milton are investigating a burglary at the residence of Kenneth Heimbach, 33, of 62 N. Orbit Drive, Milton.
Police said someone gained access to Heimbach's home through an unsecured ground-level door on the east side of the property and rummaged through the residence. Police said nothing was apparently stolen or damaged in the home.
Police reported the break-in occurred between 8 p.m. Thursday and 4:30 p.m. Saturday.
Two-car accident
COAL TOWNSHIP - No injuries were reported in a two-vehicle accident Friday morning at the intersection of Route 61 and Feeney Street near McDonald's.
Coal Township police said Derek Rowlett, 40, of 1147 W. Walnut St., Coal Township, was driving a 2009 Dodge car when he stopped in the southbound travel lane. Rowlett's auto was then struck in the rear passenger side bumper and quarter panel by a 2008 Chervolet operated by Kendell Griffiths, 30, of 182 Shiloh Court, Whitehall.
Police said both vehicles sustained minor damage and were driven from the scene.
Griffiths will be cited for careless driving.
Loud music
COAL TOWNSHIP - Mark A. Carnuccio, 40, of 1214 Chemung St., Coal Township, was cited by Coal Township police for playing music too loud at his residence at 3:30 a.m. Jan. 15. Police said the music could be heard more than half a block away from Carnuccio's residence.
Flown to Geisinger
MAHANOY TOWNSHIP - James A. Antonelli, 46, of Ringtown, was flown by Medevac to Geisinger Medical Center in Danville after suffering a back injury and lacerations in a one-vehicle crash early Sunday morning on Route 339 in this Schuylkill County township.
Antonelli was listed Sunday in serious condition, according to a hospital spokeswoman.
State police at Frackville reported Antonelli was driving a green, 1997 Ford Explorer north at 3:07 a.m. when he failed to negotiate a right curve in the road, causing his vehicle to exit the west berm and overturn multiple times while traveling through a wooded area before coming to rest approximately 100 feet into the woods on its roof.
Upon speaking to Antonelli, police said he had a strong odor of alcohol emitting from his breath. Police said charges are pending blood test results.
Rollover crash
FOSTER TOWNSHIP - State police at Frackville reported charges are pending against Hali Lynn Matzura, 25, of Mount Carmel, in connection with a truck accident Saturday night on Interstate 81 in this Schuylkill County township.
According to police, Matzura was driving a green, 2003 Chevrolet S-10 pickup truck north at 6:40 p.m. when her vehicle began to weave erratically before swerving off the right lane and across the northbound shoulder into a ditch. The truck then rolled over and came to rest on the road on its roof.
Police said Matzura climbed out of her truck and was observed stumbling near the truck by passing motorists, who also saw her attempt to bury a purse in the snow.
The purse, which was recovered, contained drug paraphernalia and possible drug packets, according to police.
Matzura was taken to Schuylkill Medical Center in Pottsville for blood testing.
Matzura, who was wearing a seat belt, suffered minor cuts on her hand, police said.
Aggravated assault
MAHONING TOWNSHIP - An aggravated assault charge is pending against a 19-year-old black male who allegedly assaulted two staff members at North Central Secure Treatment Unit on Hospital Drive Friday morning.
State police at Milton reported the suspect, who remains in custody at the secure treatment unit, is accused of assaulting the staff members after they verbally corrected him for a dress code violation at 8:45 a.m. The staff members suffered injuries in the assault that required emergency room treatment at Geisinger Medical Center, Danville.
Police, who did not identify the suspect, said the incident remains under investigation.
