Police warnings

SHAMOKIN - The Shamokin Police Department is warning residents of a growing number of phone scams that have been reported over the past few weeks. Residents are reminded not to provide any personal information or make any type of monetary donation over the phone.

Police said there have been reports of packages being stolen from porches. The public is asked to ensure all deliveries are made to a secure location.

Criminal mischief

COAL TOWNSHIP - Joseph Stawinski, 87. of 116 Second St., reported to police that sometime between midnight and the early morning hours of Tuesday, the four tires on his Chevrolet pickup truck were cut while it was parked in front of his residence.
