Aggravated assault
SCHUYLKILL HAVEN - Jerome Franklin Kimmel, 40, of Auburn, has been charged by state police with aggravated assault, simple assault, terroristic threats and recklessly endangering another person.
Police said Kimmel attempted to strike his tenant, Eric Marx, 42, of Auburn, with his blue Toyota Tercel Sunday.
Police are also investigating an allegation that Marx's residence was shot multiple times with a high-powered rifle while his three dogs were inside, police said.
Kimmel was arraigned and taken to Schuylkill County Prison in lieu of $25,000.
Theft
STONINGTON - State police are looking for information on the theft of a license plate stolen from a 2010 Carry On trailer owned by Christine Lee Kohl sometime between July 5 and July 26.
Police said the trailer was parked at 1067 Cherry St., Rockefeller Township, at the time of the theft. Anyone with information is asked to call 570-286-5601.
Theft
STONINGTON - State police are asking for information on the theft of a store unit located at BME Storage, 113 Miles Road, Shamokin Township, between April 30 and July 9.
Police said an unknown actor entered the storage unit, rented by Richard Payne, of Shamokin, and stole various items. The majority of the items taken were model trains.

Crash
PAXINOS - A Coal Township man escaped injury in a one-vehicle crash on Route 61 just south of Paxinos at around 8 p.m. Saturday.
State police said Michael A. Delorso, 51, of Coal Township, crashed the 2006 Buick Lucerne he was driving into a rock embankment after he failed to negotiate a curve. The impact caused disabling damage to the front passenger side of the vehicle.
Alcohol was a factor in the crash, police said.
Crash
TREVORTON - Two drivers were injured shortly before 1 p.m. July 27 when their vehicles collided at the intersection of West Shamokin and 10th streets.
State police said Cheryl H. Smith Brubaker, 47, of Mifflintown, attempted to make a left turn from Shamokin Street onto Route 2044 and crossed into the path of a vehicle driven by a 17-year-old female from Coal Township.
Smith Brubaker was taken to Geisinger Medical Center by AREA Services and the 17-year-old female was treated at the scene, police said.
Smith Brubaker's 2010 Toyota Prius and the 17-year-old female's 2005 Volkswagen Jetta were towed by Troy's Automotive. Trevorton Fire Company assisted.
